Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of TipJoy. By using the app, you agree to them.
1. The App
TipJoy is a personal tip tracking application provided by Gilded Ratio, LLC ("we", "us"). It is available on iOS through the Apple App Store. By downloading or using TipJoy, you agree to these Terms.
2. Your Account and Data
TipJoy requires an iCloud account for data storage and sync. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device. You own all data you enter into TipJoy. We do not claim any rights to your tip logs, job information, or earnings data. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
3. Not Financial or Tax Advice
TipJoy is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a financial advisor, tax preparer, or legal service. The calculations and summaries in the app are based entirely on what you enter. We do not guarantee that:
- Your records will match your employer's records
- The app's calculations will satisfy IRS or tax authority requirements
- The app's records are suitable for legal proceedings
For tax filing, legal disputes, or financial planning, consult a qualified professional.
4. Subscriptions
TipJoy offers an optional Pro subscription with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed entirely by Apple. They renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TipJoy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gilded Ratio, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data or earnings information.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
